Tell us a little bit about your photography - where are you based and what type of photography do you currently enjoy?
I'm based in Windsor Essex-County area but I'm a travelling wedding photographer so I'll go wherever the weddings take me. I'm also available for couples and engagements.
In only a couple of words, how would you describe your style of photography?
Timeless, Elegant and Storytelling
Tell us about one of your most memorable photoshoots or perhaps a favourite photo you have taken?
As a photographer, nurturing your creativity while trying to balance self employment and life can be a little tricky sometimes. Where do you find the inspiration to continue creating and maintaining consistency?
Creating and maintaining consistency on social media as a photographer is tricky, especially when views or likes are low. My best advice for creators starting out or even creators stuck on a road block of creativity is to remember what exactly your job is doing for others. These clients are trusting YOU with their most important days, most special moments. That's what drives me to work harder, and build my presents on social media so I can continue to capture all these moments.
Having grown as a photographer, is there any piece of advice that you could give to yourself when you first started down this path, or wish you had known sooner?
I'd advise not to be scared to price your work accordingly as your business grows and your skill set increases. In the beginning it's easy to give everyone free or very cheap sessions, but once you are there it's hard to increase your pricing. Just do it! The people who respect the work you do, won't mind paying your price.
Is there anything special you have been working on - mentoring, workshops, courses ect. We'd love to let other photographers know!
I have been working on some mentoring opportunities for not only photographers but small businesses and content creators. Keep a look out for that!
What gear are you currently using and what would you typically carry in your Kamrette camera bag?
I have multiple Sony Alpha 7iii bodies and all my lenses - along with this I always carry my flash, extra batteries and definitely some snacks!
Let's finish it off with a fan favourite - if you could only have one lens, which one would you choose?
Definitely a 50mm - so versatile and always my go to.
