Tell us a little bit about yourself - where are you based and what have you been enjoying lately?
I was actually born and raised in central Florida! I am in love with this state and love adventuring around the rest of the world as well. We love spending time out on the ocean or river, and of course with our beautiful little boys born in '08 and '10, they are not so little anymore. Not only do I have a precious fam, but we also have a four legged member as well, her name is Aloe.
Some fun things about me. I love to eat! My hubby is like a mini chef and cooks fun foods all the time. When we are not drumming up some fun foods, we are out eating it at other places. We also have a passion for music, art and traveling adventures.
In only a couple of words, how would you describe your style of photography?
Editorial. Emotional. Artistic. Classic
Tell us about one of your most memorable photoshoots or perhaps a favourite photo you have taken?
Probably the Elopement styled mountain shoot in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
As a photographer, nurturing your creativity while trying to balance self employment and life can be a little tricky sometimes. Where do you find the inspiration to continue creating and maintaining consistency?
I find the inspiration through passion. I could not of gotten to where I am today without it. It drives me every single day, to spend many hours per day to get the job done.
Having grown as a photographer, is there any piece of advice that you could give to yourself when you first started down this path, or wish you had known sooner?
I spent 1 hour a day, no less when starting working on my business. I might of done 2 hours a day and shot a little more to learn a little faster. I also would've invested in a mentor or workshops.
Is there anything special you have been working on - mentoring, workshops, courses etc. We'd love to let other photographers know!
Yes! My side educational biz: https://yourphotoscene.com/
What gear are you currently using and what would you typically carry in your Kamrette camera bag?
I have the small one and I carry one body and two lenses. Nikon X6ii, 85mm 1.8, 24-70mm Tamron, SD cards, extra batteries.
Let's finish it off with a fan favourite - if you could only have one lens, which one would you choose?
24-70mm Tamron or Sigma 35mm art.
