Tell us a little bit about yourself - where are you based and what have you been enjoying lately?
I'm a Budapest (Hungary) based wedding & lifestyle photographer. I mainly shoot in Hungary but since traveling is one of my hobbies, I am gladly to take on photo shoots abroad as well.
In only a couple of words, how would you describe your style of photography?
I love documenting life as it happens. So my photography style is: Warm, timeless, focusing on fun and the most important thing it is LIFELIKE.
Tell us about one of your most memorable photoshoots or perhaps a favourite photo you have taken?
One of my memorable photography experiences was when I stumbled upon a proposal in Copenhagen. As a professional photographer, I felt compelled to capture this moment, which eventually turned into an engagement photo shoot as a gift. Two months later they asked if I would be their wedding photographer. So I'm traveling overseas for the first time in October.
As a photographer, nurturing your creativity while trying to balance self employment and life can be a little tricky sometimes. Where do you find the inspiration to continue creating and maintaining consistency?
For me, the most important thing is that what I photograph inspires me. That's why I only take on photo sessions that are truly my style. When I really can't find my creativity, I start implementing my own project/ idea. The creative part of my brain is always on. That's why I usually go to nature to relax.
Having grown as a photographer, is there any piece of advice that you could give to yourself when you first started down this path, or wish you had known sooner?
The only thing I would advise myself is to be patient. On the other hand, I feel like I wouldn't do anything differently. It was time to build everything, figure things out on my own, and learn it all. Even at the beginning, I photographed what really inspired and filled me up. Whilst getting to know other photographers and building relationships.
Is there anything special you have been working on - mentoring, workshops, courses etc. We'd love to let other photographers know!
This year I started educating other photographers. I host a mentor program where one on one education takes place, and I also host workshops (LR, branding, wedding.)
What gear are you currently using and what would you typically carry in your Kamrette camera bag?
I have the Kamrette Lyra Backpack in Tan. It has all my gear in it: 2 Canon R6 body, my Sigma Art Lenses (20 mm/ 1.4, 24-70/2.8, 35 mm/1.4, 50mm/1.4) and 2 flashes. I also pack my Macbook pro, memory cards, battery charger and my own stuff (sunglasses, wallet etc.).
Let's finish it off with a fan favourite - if you could only have one lens, which one would you choose?
I would definitely choose my Sigma Art 35 mm/1.4 lens because I use it 90% of the time. It's my "eyes".
